Today we made the trek into the City to see a Paediatric Dentist to be sure that my little Boy didn't have any other damage that we didn't know of after his accident on Christmas Eve.
He wasn’t too concerned at the moment, he just wants us to keep an eye on him. He did mention that the other tooth could still turn black and become infected. As could the “damaged” area where the tooth came out. So we are to keep an eye on him for soreness, redness and ulcers.
He did say after examining the offending tooth and also where it came from that when my Son ripped it out he actually took part of the bone with it (it was still connected to the tooth he was inspecting). So he will probably have some scar tissue there. There is only a small possibility that his adult tooth won’t break through on it’s own, but it will probably be quite painful.
There is a pretty high chance that he will need braces once his adult teeth come through.
To top it off as we were leaving this morning, he fell face first into the tiles and put the other tooth through his top lip. Blood pouring everywhere (again) and he now has a lovely fat upper lip.
Oh...and don’t get me started on the horrid peak hour traffic heading into the city and the idiot taxi driver that tried to take us out as we were negotiating our way out of the city. Grrrrr!!!
Anyway, just wanted to post an update!!
