First thing I guess is that we lost our other old dog Ike about 9 weeks after we lost Chloe. We were hoping that the new dog would help him keep going but he went down hill fast and in the end we had to have him put down. I stayed with him and it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. RIP old mate Ike!
Above is a double LO I did up of the photos we took of the family saying goodbye to old Ike'y.
The new dog Inka, well not so new now, is going well. She's very hyperactive and still chews anything in site but she's settled in well. The kids love her, although the eldest is still a bit wary because she's so hyper.
Let's see, what else. We spent Christmas with the family down at Boyds Bay, it was one of the worst holidays on record! We had several evacuation warnings due to flooding and on the first day there, while setting up, Bailey managed to knock Riley's front tooth out (headbutted him) and then a week later the other fell out because it had been loosened. DOH!! So now at 6 years of age he's lost six teeth, four bottom, two top front.
I was going to put up a pic of the LO I did showing both Riley & Bailey with their missing front teeth but it's been accepted for publication in Scrapbook Creations, so that's great!
While on the subject of acceptances, I also had one of Isabella accepted over the Christmas holidays with For Keeps. Woohoo!!
Here are some pictures of the flooding around the Tweed Valley. They were taken by my friend Kevin.
Well the insurance finally came through and I've ordered my new pram. It's a Mountain Buggy Urban in black. I was told it should turn up today, so fingers crossed!! Oddly enough, the kids are just as excited as I am!! They keep telling me they miss the old pram and "when are we getting it back". So on Monday I showed them the picture of the new pram and now they're asking "when is it going to get here?". LOL!!
I've started playing netball again. OMG!! I was stuffed after the first 2 minutes!! I haven't played in 10+ years so it was a shock to the system. Now I just need to get back into practice and get my shooting back up to scratch!!
Alright then, I think that's about it for now. Need to go and check a few things and get the kids some lunch I think.
